Every other piece in the Botanica Collection covers its surface in pattern. Frond makes a different choice: one frond, running corner to corner, carved deep into the ochre-gold body and filled with white. The restraint is deliberate. A single botanical line against a warm, weathered ground — the frond doesn’t compete with the surface, it inhabits it.
The body is hand-painted in warm ochre-gold matte — the colour of turmeric, of aged brass, of afternoon light on a plastered wall. The paint is applied with visible texture and deliberate distressing, so the surface reads as aged and worked rather than freshly finished. Against this warmth, the carved white frond is sharp and graphic — a clean botanical line that reads from across the room before the texture of the body becomes apparent up close.
The wide, low bowl form sits generously — wider than it is tall at every size, settling into a space rather than asserting itself upward. At 38cm across, the Large holds a full plant with ease. The Small at 24cm carries the same graphic confidence in a form compact enough for a shelf or a step.
Each Frond is hand-painted. Variation in ochre tone, distress depth, and white inlay intensity is inherent to the process — it is the character of the piece, not a flaw.
Available in three sizes and can be picked up individually. Comes with a drain hole at the base. The frond motif is scaled consistently to each body, maintaining its visual weight across the set.
Large : 38cm dia × 32cm H · Medium : 30cm dia × 24cm H · Small : 24cm dia × 18cm H
Care & Placement
Indoor and covered outdoor only. The hand-painted matte finish is not sealed — avoid direct rain and prolonged harsh sunlight which may fade the ochre tone over time. Clean with a dry or barely damp cloth only; do not scrub or use water freely on the surface. Single base drainage hole. Use a saucer indoors.

Beena’s Curating Tips
The white frond and the white plant bloom is Beena’s defining composition for Frond — a Peace Lily or White Anthurium above the carved white frond creates a visual echo between vessel and plant that reads as deeply considered without requiring any additional styling decision.
Frond is Botanica’s warmest piece — the ochre-gold body connects it to brass, raw wood, cane, and warm plaster surfaces. Style it in rooms that have already chosen warmth as their material register. It will look out of place against cool stone or white walls. Position Frond where both distances are possible: a living room floor where it can be seen from the sofa, or a console where it is passed at arm’s length.
For B2B: Frond is Botanica’s most commercially versatile piece for hospitality and café interiors — the ochre-gold body photographs warmly against wood, concrete, and natural stone, and the single bold frond reads as a design decision rather than a decoration.
